1. The service

Halfslap Asset Studio is a free browser-based tool to draw, edit, store locally and export artwork. We may improve, modify or discontinue features over time. Access may be interrupted by maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our control.

2. Your artwork

You retain ownership of your original artwork. Using the editor does not transfer ownership of your drawings to DOYEP LTD or Halfslap. The current editor does not routinely upload your artwork to our servers; exported files are generated in your browser.

You are responsible for ensuring you have permission to use any third-party artwork you import or reproduce.

3. Saving and backups

The editor primarily stores projects in your device's browser storage. Browser storage can be cleared, unavailable or corrupted, and it does not automatically synchronise between devices. Export your editable project regularly and keep your own backups. We cannot restore local projects from our servers.

4. Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not deliberately interfere with its operation, attempt to compromise the website or abuse its infrastructure. You are responsible for the files you create and export.

5. Software and third-party rights

The website's software, branding and interface may contain our own intellectual property and open-source components under their respective licences. These terms do not grant rights to third-party trademarks or artwork, nor do they change the licences of open-source components.

6. Availability and liability

We provide the tool on an as-available basis and do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. We recommend keeping independent backups of important work.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any mandatory consumer rights. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by outages, unsupported devices or failure to back up browser-local projects.

7. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms as the service develops. English law governs these terms, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you as a consumer. For questions, contact hello@doyep.co.uk.
